A CVHS dental patient had come several times to his dentist. At each visit, his blood pressure was checked and found to be above average. When this continued, CVHS staff insisted that he seek new counsel for his blood pressure with one of our doctors. He did, and found that he had 90% blockage in his arteries and he required immediate by-pass surgery. He says that we saved his life! He made his medical home with us and never misses a dental appointment!
Last year, over 35,000 other residents of central Virginia were able to get much-needed health care at a Central Virginia Health Services’ site. While most did not experience such a dramatic turn of events, they recognized that health care matters. Here’s how you can help:
- Make and keep your own appointment – be an example
- Offer to take someone who can’t drive to their appointment
- Volunteer – ask the Office Manager at the closest site how you can be involved
- Make a donation – your gift is tax deductible as permitted by law. You may donate on line through a secure link at: www:networkforgood.org.
