Since we began in 1970, Central Virginia Health Services has been providing accessible and affordable healthcare to underserved populations. Today, over 40,000 people access CVHS sites for medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services. We take most major insurance plans and offer a sliding fee (discount) for those who need it. Lack of insurance or money should not prevent you from getting the health care you need.
Our providers focus health care on you, the patient. Health promotion, learning what lifestyle changes you can make to become healthier; chronic disease management, including affordable medications; testing for diseases so that early detection can perhaps save your life; patient education so that you can better understand your health condition--all of these services are part of our commitment to you.

Central Virginia Health Services is pleased to announce its recent grant award from the Mary Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation. This award, $68,408, will be used to support its patient education and case management services at the Community Health Center of the Rappahannock Region. By providing these services to its patients, the Community Health Center ensures that patients have evidenced-based health information and resources necessary to improve and maintain their health.
